When Justice Samuel Alito dons his black
robe and takes his seat with his fellow
Justices in the Court Chamber of the
Supreme Court, he will see on the wall
to his right a magnificent frieze of
ivory vein Spanish marble, forty feet
long and over seven feet high, sculpted
by Adolph Weinman in 1932.
This is the North Frieze of the Supreme
Court. There is a South Frieze, which
Justice Alito will see on the wall to
his left. The friezes depict “Great
Lawgivers of History.” Among others, the
South Frieze depicts Hammurabi, Moses,
Solomon, Solon, Confucius, and Octavian.
The picture you see here are three of
the nine “lawgivers” carved by Weinman
on the North Frieze. The figure on the
right is Justinian. The figure on the
left is Charlemagne. The figure in the
middle, holding the Koran and the Sword
of Islam, is Mohammed.
Since any physical depiction of “The
Prophet” as the Moslems call their
founder is blasphemous, will this
disclosure result in bomb threats by
Islamofascists or demonstrations by the
terrorist apologizers of CAIR?
By now, everyone is aware of the Great
Mohammed Cartoon Fiasco – but you
learned about it way back in October in
To The Point’s
Blasphemous Cartoons.
As the controversy gained steam, we
talked about it again last month in
Standing Up To Moslem Bullies, which
noted:
The question we need to ask Moslems
is: Until you start showing respect and
tolerance for our values, religion, and
civilization, why should we show any
respect and tolerance for yours?
Since then, a number of newspapers in
Europe have stood up to Moslem bullies
and published the cartoons – even the
BBC showed them! (All 12 of the original
cartoons, plus the original article
publishing them in Jyllands-Posten, are
here.)
It’s interesting that Europeans are
rejecting the Moslem bullies, while no
US newspaper has so far had the guts to
do so. The world’s biggest honorary
Euroweenie turned out to be Bill
Clinton, who condemned the “totally
outrageous cartoons against Islam.”
As the fat kid who wore the Big Boy
jeans while his mom ran a call-girl
service back in Hot Springs, and who is
so under-endowed his girlfriends in
Arkansas called him Little Willie, he
has a pathological compulsion to be
popular – even with Islamofascists.
So we can dismiss him. For the battle
has finally been joined. Who would have
guessed the Clash of Civilizations would
be comedic?
Finally, Islam has picked a fight with
the West in which the West will actually
fight back, has picked a fight it will
lose. Finally, folks are figuring out
that Islam has a fatal weak spot: it is
so insecure that it can’t take the heat
of ridicule.
Finally, Islam has exposed its mortal
weakness to the world.
Instead of being confident, assured, and
fearless, Moslems through their crazed
outrage over some cartoons in an obscure
Danish-language newspaper, are
proclaiming to the world their lack of
confidence, lack of assurance, and fear.
As my father said:
“Show me a bully and I’ll show you a
coward.”
It’s taken these cartoons for folks to
figure this out about Moslems. While
it’s easy to be scared of people when
they’re terrorists, it’s hard to be
scared of them when they’re a joke.
By their frightened protests and threats
– threatening to bomb the
Jyllands-Posten office because of a
cartoon showing Mohammed wearing a lit
bomb for a turban: are these idiots too
dense to see the irony? – Moslems have
turned Islam into a Cartoon Religion.
If they had shown the slightest bit of
maturity and genuine confidence by
ignoring the cartoons’ affront, the
world in turn would have ignored the
cartoons. By making such a globally
stupid stink, when the world thinks of
Mohammed now, it will think of this:
Smart work, guys. Further evidence that
Islam is a doomed religion.
Contrary to those who think Islam is
taking over the world, I think any
religion preaching intolerance and
violence has no future in today’s world.
I said this two years ago in
The Allah That Failed. “Islam” is
the Arabic word for submission.
Supposedly it means submission to Allah.
But there’s now a new meaning.
Moslems are going to submit to our
values, for we are not going to submit
to theirs.
Moslems are going to submit to our
values of religious tolerance, human
rights, and political freedom. And we’re
going to keep laughing at them until
they do.
These Danish cartoons are only a hint at
what’s to come. Once folks figure out
that ridicule is Islam’s mortal
weakness… well, here’s a hint of what’s
to come:
